What does membership give you?

Every full member and member in the process of being accepted for membership of JCI Bulgaria has access to all members-only events held throughout the year.

JCI Bulgaria and JCI Global have established partnerships with various organizations (such as BNI, World Business Angels Forum, ICC, etc.), which often offer exclusive access to their programs and events for JCI members.

As a full member of JCI Bulgaria, you will be internationally recognized as a JCI member and can benefit from membership prices for international events and other vast opportunities for members of the organization. Non-members who wish to attend international JCI conferences, such as the JCI European Conference and the JCI World Congress, usually must pay a higher registration fee. You will also have the opportunity to apply for participation in a number of academies that are organized exclusively for JCI members, and active members will be considered for subsidies to participate in these academies. JCI organizes over 10 international events and academies annually.

We strive to make our events free for members, but this is not always the case. To ensure that our full members receive special conditions, we provide them with an exclusive discount on our paid events.

JCI Bulgaria offers its full members access to its own resource library, as well as the JCI International Library, which includes notes, templates, presentations of official JCI courses, and much more.

JCI can be found in over 115 countries worldwide and consists of 150,000+ current members and over a million alumni. When you join JCI Bulgaria, you will have the opportunity to grow your international network of like-minded individuals.

With an internationally established “one year to lead” policy, no member is allowed to hold a role for more than one calendar year (unless there are exceptional circumstances). In addition to the opportunity for each full member to vote and elect the new team of the local organization (of which he/she is a member) and the national board, as a member of JCI Bulgaria he/she has the opportunity to apply for roles at the local and national levels, as well as at the European and global levels with greater experience in the organization.

In addition to the opportunity for each member to be part of the teams of programs and projects that are already part of the activities of JCI Bulgaria, each full member of JCI Bulgaria can propose a project that excites them and use the organization and its network to implement it. JCI Bulgaria provides its members with an established platform, access to state, European and organizational partners, funding opportunities and resources for project work. This opportunity is activated once the member has a project that is in line with the vision, mission and principles of JCI, as well as with the short-term and long-term goals of the organization.

JCI Bulgaria strives to attract international trainers to Bulgaria to keep its training program as diverse as possible and provides individual international networking and education opportunities.

Under the motto “one year, one man, one job,” responsibilities are rotated annually from local to international level. This gives everyone the chance to engage as motivated young professionals in roles such as board member, committee director, or even president. All of this happens in a safe environment with optimal guidance from more experienced members.

We offer our members a wide range of courses, trainings, and workshops that emphasize personal development and sharpening business skills. The trainers are a combination of internal, certified JCI trainers and external experts who are happy to share their knowledge with our members. Compare the prices on the market; we offer these for a fraction of the usual prices.

Through the experiences members share with each other, they go through a growth process together and intense friendships are formed that invariably last longer than the duration of membership. You meet interesting people or personalities that you wouldn’t come into contact with in your daily routine. Even couples have been finding each other for generations at JCI.

The unique committee and project work in which our members engage ensures that young high potentials gradually develop into real leaders and entrepreneurs. Through a combination of our leadership trajectories, coaching, and daily operations, members learn to work together in teams with a common goal and specific task distributions.

The world of JCI goes beyond one’s own backyard. Our members are actively encouraged to move outside their familiar region. Besides activities of all Bulgarian chapters that can be joined, there are also annual overarching events such as the national coneferences and congresses. These are supplemented with international conferences and congresses and numerous international contacts are stimulated.

Our members have their hearts in the right place and actively engage in giving back to the community. Whether it’s supporting a local charity or aiding projects in less fortunate countries; as a partner organization of the United Nations, our members actively commit themselves to helping others.

What differentiates JCI from average business and service associations is that we prefer to build a project around it that goes far beyond a benefit. We prefer to roll up our sleeves and consider if we can do more or something different than just raising money.

JCI members naturally have a lot of entrepreneurial spirit and a sense of ambition. Through intense collaborations, you build a sustainable and broad network of professionals from all possible sectors. Over the years, several JCI members have started businesses together or helped each other secure good jobs.

The bow doesn’t always need to be taut. The young wolves at JCI know this too, and they’re not shy about taking over the dance floor at a congress gala or making a cultural discovery with their local chapter. Every chapter has some activities where fun is central, and some organize playful team-building events. There are countless parties and fun activities where a great atmosphere always develops.

Life for young professionals is already expensive enough. Through partnerships, JCI can offer its members some financial benefits. Additionally, JCI activities and events are offered at the most democratic prices possible, starting with the membership itself.
